StPeters13_booklet.inddSt Peter’s College, Oxford, one of Oxford University’s finest mixed-voice choirs.

Almost all of the current choir are members of St Peter’s College, although a small number of students audition to join who are members of other Colleges.

The choir sings an extensive repertoire of Church music, primarily at the two Evensong services in St Peter’s each week during term. It conducts UK and overseas tours, performs several concerts each year, and will make its first commercial recording in the coming academic year.  The choir is known for its very high standard and broad range, and members of the choir are some of the leading musicians in the wider musical activities of the University.

The next major event in the calender is the St Peter’s College Music Society production of Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah, on Saturday 15th November at 7pm in the College Chapel.

Earlier this year, the Choir released its first recording in many years.  You can purchase the CD from the Oxford University Shop or a digital download from the iTunes Music Store.  Further recordings are planned for 2014 and 2015.

You can find out more about the choir’s activities by exploring this website.  To find out how to join the choir, please read the page about auditions, and to find out more about studying at St Peter’s College, please visit www.spc.ox.ac.uk.
